Galactic – Reactor for PLA processing

Our engineering team joined forces with Galactic’s teams to install a new reactor to process PLA

• Completion of the HAZOP study with PHA PRO software
• Completion of the layout plans for the reactor and 2 vessels
• Consultation with suppliers
• Installation of the pump and exchanger at the bottom of the reactor, preliminary routing
• Calculation of the network pressure drop
• Specifications for dismantling and changes to the framework,
• Verification of the reboiler and condenser design based on the data provided
• Working alongside GALACTIC to define the piping budget (on an isometric basis and standard quantity for short lengths) and for electr./autom.
